Born in 1978 I was always amazed and inspired by my dad, carrying all his camera equipment throughout our vacation each day, mainly taking photographs of landscape, me and my mom. Years later, I received my first point and shoot camera as a birthday present, and started to take photos. This developed through polaroid photos, slides and nowadays into Fullframe HQ photos taken with Canon equipment. Why Canon? Because my dad used it and was always very happy with it, and in the beginning we could swap lenses. Until today I never attended a photography class, everything is self-taught or explained by my dad. I never attended any post-processing class as well, until today I love taking photos more than sitting at the PC. But it has to be done, years ago you did send them to a laboratory, or had your own equipment for this, today we post-process at the PC home. I always shoot RAW to ensure I got the best quality.

All my astrophotography is done with a Canon EOS 60D, modified for astrophotography, on a EQ6 mount, either through a camera lens or my telescope. The System is guided by a ALCCD QHY Camera attached to a 50mm Guidescope and guided by PHD. After months and years of experimenting, I am reaching the stage of showing the results. I shoot under the light polluted sky of the Rhein-Main-Area, Germany.
Besides photography, here is what I do for living:
I am an all-time aviation enthusiast and from 2001 until 2013 was a fully licensed Air Traffic Controller at Frankfurt Approach Control, in charge for all traffic flying in and out, as well as for traffic from several small airfields surrounding the Frankfurt airport.
Since 2014, I am a fully licensed Tower Controller working at Frankfurt Airport.
